What is a Scrapbook Run? Think Poker run, but for scrapbookers.  The run will begin in Corsicana, go through Waxahachie and end up in Red Oak. Read below for all the details.

Details, details, details: Check-in for the event will begin at 10:00 a.m., a continental breakfast will be served, each participant will receive a t-shirt which must be worn, and a list of all the participating stores, along with directions of how to get there. Visit every store along the way, purchasing at least one item from each store. Arrive at the final destination in Red Oak as early as 2:00 p.m., but no later than 4:00. Dinner will be provided (you are on your own for lunch), and each participant will be given until 6:00 p.m. to complete a 2-page layout (using only items purchased that day – keep your receipts!), we will have a BEST LAYOUT CONTEST with an AWESOME prize (see rules and regulations).  In addition to the contest, each participant will be given the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets ($1.00/each or 6 for $5.00), for various Scrapbook baskets valued at a minimum of $100.00, with a GRAND raffle for a Cricut Machine (grand raffle tickets are 1 for $5.00 or 6 for $25.00). The raffle winners will be announced at the end of our crop, which will be at around 9:30 (The evening officially ends at 10:00).

You will receive a list of all participating stores. You must visit every store on the list, purchase at least ONE item from every store and be sure to have the store sign your t-shirt.  You have been allotted 30-45 minutes per store so feel free to shop and enjoy.  Upon arrival at the final destination, you will be required to do a 2-page layout using ONLY the items purchased that day. You will be provided a form to list each item used, the store you purchased it from, and clip the receipt to the form.  The theme for the layout is your choice.  Bring all your "croppin’ stuff", as we will continue with our own scrapbooking fun until the evening’s end. Remember only items purchased that day can be on the page layout. Grand Prize: FREE Scrap Weekend Retreat at Champions’ Resort (April 27-29, 2007). Valued at $150!!!

Who is benefiting from this event? The National Breast Cancer Research Foundation, which is a not for profit organization based in Frisco, Texas, is dedicated to funding innovative and clinical and genetic research.  The foundation supports scientists at leading medical centers worldwide whose research is focused on achieving prevention and a cure for breast cancer in our lifetime.
